Wow, some live-action shots! Very difficult to get those, eh? The more I see, the more I'm reminded of my family home in Nova Scotia (deer come down from the woods to hang out in the field behind my mother's house--when it's not hunting season!).
:) I feel stupid that I didn't realize there were two of them, and thus lost what would have been a prime opportunity to get clearer shots of the second one.
I think it is best that phoctober is over, I have taken to the bad/dangerous habit, of stopping my car in the middle of the road to film stuff. (this was video, my point and shoot, would not have shot fast enough). I am quite pleased that I didn't hit either of them with my car, and that while I took the pics, no cars came and hit me.
Seems I would like Nova Scotia.
Witnessing, Thank you. Thank you very much. And the deer thanks you too.
Vanilla, Thanks. I love the tails too, of course the whole thing looked much better in real life. He was rather far away standing on the hillside in the beginning, I was surprised when after running down the field a bit (out of my sight) he turned and chose to cross the road right in front of me.

Oh wow! Brilliant! I love the way the deer's tail is up like a warning flag! The area where you've taken the shots looks absolutely beautiful.
Kyklops,
