Father's Day

Went to Ocean City, NJ for Father's Day (actually we went on Saturday, as Bob had to work Sunday night).
In honor of the occasion, we let Bob, fill the car up with gas, drive us there, haul around much sand, and buy us pizza.
He also had to deal with much pleading from Cheese for french fries, which he did give in to, and one sad plea from me for a book about swans, which he did not. ( I admit $20 seems a bit high for a small paperback). And then we let him drive us back home again, paying several tolls along the way. We arrived about 12:30 AM. And being a sandy us we all had to shower before bed.
A good time was had by all.

Happy Father's Day - a trip to the beach sounds like fun!

A fun day, although you somehow make it sound kind of sad because of all the things Bob had to do.
This - among others - is what fathers are for...

I've done the meme. :-)

Janeyv,

Indeed it was. I must be old now though, as a day of fun, is followed by a day of being extremely tired.

Vesper,

Yes, I did do that, but really he had much more fun doing those things, than if he had stayed home, or been idle. I would happily have driven, but Bob isn't into that, even when we drove cross country, my hands never touched the steering wheel (though I did offer, and offer, and....)

ah the meme, I am on my way :)

What a great way to spend the day. I'm longing for our first day at the beach of the year. Hopefully, in the next week or two.
